Ugandan small and medium enterprises (SMEs) made a powerful impression at Salon du Chocolat 2025, held in Paris from October 29 to November 2, securing significant business interest for their cocoa and chocolate products.
Salon du Chocolat is the world’s largest event dedicated to chocolate and cocoa, bringing together leading chocolatiers, producers, and industry experts. The annual Paris edition attracts thousands of visitors and buyers, showcasing global innovations and the finest artisanal chocolate craftsmanship.
Altogether, SMEs generated 40+ new business and investment leads for approximately 125 MT of cocoa and cocoa-derived products, valued at USD 493,000, and recorded on-site sales totaling USD 9,566 during the trade fair.
Top-quality chocolate from Uganda proved to be a hit, with strong engagement from international buyers and distributors. Five standout Ugandan brands—Equator Chocolate, Nile Chocolate, Artisans Farm Africa, CocoMata, and HAST Manufacturers—captivated visitors with their unique flavors and bean-to-bar expertise.
These companies participated in Salon du Chocolat with support from the EU funded EU–EAC MARKUP II Programme, showcasing the growing potential of Uganda’s specialty cocoa sector.
