Rwandan Businesses Shine at Fruit Logistica 2025 in Berlin

Zesah Ltd from Rwanda gained business leads at the fair that reached an impressive USD 465,000.

The company now plans to expand its product range to include vegetables like Okra, seeing potential in international markets.

Zesah Ltd along with five other companies from Rwanda participated in Fruit Logistica, the world’s top trade fair for fresh produce, that took place in Berlin, Germany in February.

The Rwandan participants were a diverse group, with two of them being women and another two being young entrepreneurs under 35 years old.

The EU-EAC MARKUP II project partnered with Rwanda’s National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) to bring the Rwandan avocado and fine bean exporting companies to the fair. These businesses had the opportunity to showcase their products in the NAEB pavilion, connecting with global buyers and learning about new trends in the industry.

Attending the event allowed these companies to:

  • Better understand global trends and the demand for fresh produce, especially in Germany and the EU.

  • Learn how other countries are promoting their fresh produce.

  • Connect with 21 potential global business partners, with a total estimated trade value of over USD 6.5 million.

With over 3,300 exhibitors and tens of thousands of visitors from across the globe, the event provided a major platform for businesses in the fresh produce industry.
