Training Institutions for Graphic Design Training

The International Trade Centre (ITC) is seeking partnerships with training institutions to deliver specialized training on graphic design for packaging for professionals in Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.

This initiative aims to enhance the skills of graphic designers, equipping them to provide high-quality design services for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). By specifically strengthening graphic design capabilities in packaging, the program will contribute to improved market access and export competitiveness for MSMEs in the region.

We are especially keen to hear from Rwandan universities, technical training centres, and creative institutes with strong experience in graphic design, digital media, or packaging-related courses.

Training Program Objectives

The certifying training program aims to provide graphic designers with a structured methodology for designing packaging labels and pre-printed packaging materials.

Through this partnership, selected institutions will:

Enhance Professional Skills:
Gain access to an internationally recognized training curriculum hosted on ITC’s e-learning platform, designed to align with market needs and packaging industry standards.
Support SME Growth:
Contribute directly to the success of local small and medium enterprises by improving the quality, compliance, and visual impact of their packaging.
Join a Regional Network:
Be part of an East African community of design and training institutions advancing innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness across value chains.
Benefit from Global Visibility:
Partner institutions will be featured on ITC’s regional platform and gain access to new collaboration and learning opportunities with international experts.
