Apply now for training and networking opportunities for SMEs in the specialty coffee sphere

Coffee Training

Two excellent opportunities for networking and training are now available for SME’s operating in the specialty coffee export segments of the EAC.

EU-EAC MARKUP, implemented by ITC, work across the region to help SME’s improve their market access, understand new markets, find and meet new buyers, and be better able to market and promote themselves and their products against global competitors.

In line with this, there is now a chance to apply to attend:

  • A Marketing and Communications workshop, which will cover introductory advice and individual coaching on marketing and branding; and effective buyer negotiations from 20-22 July, 2020 and
  • The SCA World of Coffee 2020 (WOC2020) in Warsaw, Poland, from 15 to 17 October, 2020 which will include a workshop on European buyer expectations and market demand and how to be effective during the exhibition and also give EAC attendees the chance to have an individual exhibition space in the MARKUP booth, and be part of a coffee cupping event.

A total of 25 participants will be selected with five participants each from Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.
