EU-EAC MARKUP, through Solidaridad, will mark Farmers' Day (Nane Nane), celebrated each year on the 8th August in Tanzania, and celebrate the achievements of farmers and small and medium companies engaged in the project To Certification and Beyond.
The MARKUP-Solidaridad Team will embark on the celebrations at Mbeya from 1st to 8th August, presenting a well decorated and organised booth jointly with their cooperation partners and inviting stakeholders and beneficiaries from the coffee, tea and horticulture sectors.
The Programme will showcase a wide variety of their activities aiming at enabling farmers to comply with international standards and increase their exports to countries across the EAC as well as to the European Union. Visitors key institutions such as financial institutions, Ministries, private sector bodies and government agencies will meet the MARKUP programme and the project To Certification and Beyond in face to face contact with exhibitors at the booth.
The exhibition was officially opened by the Vice President of Tanzania Hon. Philip Mpango on 1st August and will be closed by the President of Tanzania H.E Samia Suluhu Hassan on 8th August 2022.
